A session on Hanoi's courts, then up into the mountains for terraced rice hills and cool air.
A short trip built around two sides of the north — Hanoi's Old Quarter, where Train Street runs between the houses and the coffee is strong, and Sapa's terraced hills, a scenic drive up into cooler air. In Sapa, the Fansipan cable car up to the roof of Indochina, the Rong May glass bridge, and Cat Cat Village for H'mong stilt houses and a waterfall walk. Drop-in pickleball in Hanoi is built in for anyone who wants a game — optional, and easy to skip.
Everything below is a sample itinerary. We tailor the pace and the play to your group before you travel.
Every stop on this trip, in one place — the real itinerary is below.
Hanoi to start and finish, with two nights up in Sapa so the mountain days aren't rushed.
Land in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel in the Old Quarter. Settle in, then head out for an easy evening walk — Train Street, and a coffee at a café looking out over St Joseph's Cathedral. Welcome dinner with a taste of the north — bánh mì and phở are both close by whenever you want them.
Morning drive up to Sapa — the road climbs steadily, and the air noticeably cools as the rice terraces come into view. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon settling in — a café check-in with a view over the valley is the easiest way to get your bearings. Hotpot dinner to warm up after the drive.
A full day on Sapa's biggest sights. The Fansipan cable car climbs to the summit of Vietnam's highest peak — on a clear day the views stretch across the whole valley. From there, the Rong May glass bridge for a different kind of view, suspended over the gorge below. Round out the afternoon at Sapa's well-known photo spot, worth the stop just for the backdrop.
A morning walk through Cat Cat Village — H'mong stilt houses built into the hillside, with a waterfall partway down the trail. In the afternoon, the drive back down to Hanoi. Once you're settled back in, your first optional pickleball session before dinner on your own.
A free morning to finish up Hanoi — a last walk through the Old Quarter, or breakfast at your favourite spot from earlier in the trip. If your flight timing allows, we can book one more optional pickleball session before your transfer. Private transfer to Hanoi airport.
