This one loops out of Hanoi instead of running a straight line. You head west into the hills of Pu Luong — rice terraces, a bamboo water wheel, a cave morning — then south to Ninh Binh for a rowboat through the limestone rivers of Tam Coc, and east to the coast for an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay before the loop closes back in Hanoi. Pickleball is woven in where it fits, not forced into every morning.
Everything below is a sample itinerary. We tailor the pace, the play, and the sights to your group before you travel — you tell us the vibe, we shape the days around it.
Easy on arrival, hardest in the middle, easy again on the way out. Pickleball goes where the timing allows it.
Your guide meets you at the airport and makes the introductions on the way into the city. Check in, then a relaxed evening walk through Hanoi — a light bowl of pho and a coffee to get your stomach used to things, nothing heavier. Day one is deliberately slow: no courts, no itinerary pressure, just time to adjust and a few honest "survival tips" for the traffic before the week properly starts.

Morning departure for Pu Luong, up through Hoa Binh and over the Da Trang Pass — terraced hillsides, roadside villages, and rest stops whenever something's worth stopping for. By afternoon you're checking into a homestay or resort looking straight out over the valley, with just enough daylight left for a walk or a cycle out to the terraces and Don village.

A morning walk to Hang Doi cave in the Kho Muong valley, then lunch and an afternoon at the bamboo water wheels — cool off with a swim in the stream underneath them. What happens next is your call: a casual pickleball game about 15 minutes away if your guide can round up some local players, or back to the resort for the pool and a slow happy hour. Either way, nothing's forced today.

Check out and head south to Ninh Binh. Pick up e-bikes for the afternoon — this is a region made for exploring on two wheels — lunch, then a rowboat through Tam Coc, under limestone caves and past rice paddies. Finish with sunset coffee at Hẻm Gió Coffee, looking out over the karst field. Dinner's on your own tonight; the roasted duck at Family Restaurant is worth the detour.

A private transfer out to Tuan Chau pier, with a proper rest stop along the way. Arrive around midday and you're straight onto the boat — no waiting around the dock. Spend the afternoon and evening cruising out through the islands of Ha Long Bay before dinner and a night on the water.

Transfer back to Hanoi — the horns and the traffic hit differently after a week in the valleys and the bay. Close things out with a game against some Hanoi pickleball players, then a relaxed dinner together on your last night.

A slow last morning — pack up, wander if you want to, or just sit with one more coffee. Your guide and driver pick you up and see you to the airport. One week in northern Vietnam, done.
