Here's what a week with us can look like — a real, seven-day flow through Hoi An and Da Nang on Vietnam's central coast. Play in the cool mornings, explore in the afternoons, eat well every night. But read this first: this is a sample itinerary, not a fixed one. Every trip we run is shaped around the people on it.

How the week flows
Days 1–3 — Hoi An: lantern old town, morning play, cycling, coconut boats, tailoring, and a free day.
Days 4–7 — Da Nang: Ba Na Hills, Son Tra, city coffee, and one last morning.
The rhythm of the week
The whole trick to Vietnam's central coast is timing your day around the sun. Mornings are cool and bright — that's when you play. By midday it's hot, so that's lunch, a rest, or the water. Late afternoon cools off for exploring, and evenings are for food. Here's how that plays out across seven days.
Day 1 — Arrive & Hoi An lantern town
Transfer straight from Da Nang airport to Hoi An and settle in — no rush. In the evening, walk the lantern-lit Old Town as the silk lanterns come on along the river. Hoi An is one of the great tailoring towns of the world, so if you'd like a custom garment or suit made, we recommend starting here on day one — measured early, it's ready before you leave. Dinner is local food at a local restaurant, then a free night.
Our tip: settle in for a glass of wine at The Hoianian. Stroll back to your hotel afterwards, or the restaurant will call an electric buggy to take you home.
Day 2 — First morning on court, then the countryside
Your first pickleball session in Hoi An while it's cool, followed by a proper lunch. In the afternoon, cycle through the rice paddies to the coconut palm groves, then climb aboard a traditional round coconut basket boat in the water-coconut forest — a famous, fun, only-in-Vietnam experience. A local dinner to finish the day.
Day 3 — Morning game, then the day is yours
Start with a morning game while it's cool, then the rest of the day is completely free — and there's plenty to choose from. Head into town for coffee, take a bike ride, chill by the pool, book a massage, or go for a fitting on the clothes you're having tailored. Or simply do nothing at all: wander, take photos, and enjoy long, unhurried lunches and dinners. This is the day that makes the trip yours.
Day 4 — Ba Na Hills & the Golden Bridge, then Da Nang
A full day up at Ba Na Hills, home to the world-famous Golden Bridge — the walkway held aloft by two giant stone hands, one of the most photographed spots in Vietnam. In the evening we move to Da Nang for the second half of the week, and you overnight in the city.
Day 5 — A game, Vietnamese coffee & Son Tra
Start with a morning game and a proper Vietnamese coffee — try a cà phê sữa đá, iced coffee with condensed milk. After lunch, head out to the Son Tra Peninsula and visit the Linh Ung Pagoda, home to Vietnam's tallest Lady Buddha statue, with sweeping views back over the whole coastline.
Day 6 — Coffee, court & the city
An easy, feel-the-city day. More of Da Nang's excellent coffee culture, a final court session for anyone who wants it, and time to explore the city itself — the beachfront, the Dragon Bridge, the markets, and the food. This is the day the trip settles into your own rhythm.
Day 7 — One last morning
A final swim or a last easy game before you fly out. Because Da Nang's airport is so close to everything, you can play or hit the beach in the morning and still make an afternoon flight — a small luxury you won't get in most beach destinations.

The weather, season by season
Timing matters on the central coast — the climate here shifts noticeably through the year. Here's what to expect across Hoi An and Da Nang, quarter by quarter, so you can plan around it.
October – December — Wet & cooler. Around 22–28°C. This is the central coast's rainy season, with the heaviest rain and occasional typhoons in October and November. Green, moody, fewer crowds — but pack for rain.
January – March — Mild & mostly dry. Around 20–26°C. Comfortable and pleasant, with the odd early-season drizzle. Cool enough for easy days, warm enough for the beach by March.
April – June — Hot & dry. Around 27–34°C. Blue skies and warm sea — peak beach-and-courts weather. Play early, rest through the midday heat.
July – September — Hot, easing to rain. Around 28–35°C. The hottest, brightest stretch, though September can bring the first rains as the season turns.
