Pickleball courts
in Hanoi

Where to play near the Old Quarter, West Lake and across the river, and what we actually know about each court.

9 of Kevin's picks Grouped by where you stay Checked 2 November 2026
The short version

Where you sleep decides where you play

Hanoi is spread out and traffic is slow, so pick the court by your hotel. Here is how we would think about it.

Staying in the Old Quarter

Start with Taurus

It is the closest court we know, on the north edge of the Old Quarter, and the one Kevin plays. HTL is the other Hoan Kiem address on the list.

Staying near West Lake

The Lac Long Quan strip

BALLBURN (614), Pink (584) and Arena Tay Ho (691) are all on the same road, so you can see which one feels right. AIKO is a lane away off Xuan Dieu.

Want a late game

Look at the 11pm clubs

BALLBURN, ChubbyBall, Happyland and the Federation court stay open until 11pm or midnight. Filter by "Open late" below.

How we list courts

What you can trust here

What the labels mean

  • Kevin's pick means Kevin chose the court after checking its reviews, location and recent activity. Nobody pays to be here.
  • Kevin has played here means he has been on the court. Right now that is Taurus only, and we say so.
  • Ratings are Google's, with the number of reviews next to them. A 4.8 from 11 reviews tells you less than a 4.7 from 127.

Where the details come from

  • Ratings, hours and phone numbers come from Google Maps and each club's Facebook page. Last check: 2 November 2026.
  • We update a card when a club sends us its own photos and details, so a "photo coming soon" card is waiting for the club's own pictures.
  • A court is on the list when it is active, close to where travellers stay, and has a phone or booking link.

Timing

  • Hanoi plays after work, so evenings are crowded. Mornings are quiet and cooler.
  • In winter (December to February) bring a layer for early games. Indoor courts help.

Questions people ask

Which pickleball court is closest to the Old Quarter?

Of the courts we list, Taurus Pickleball is the closest we know: it sits on the north edge of the Old Quarter, near Dong Xuan Market, about a 15-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. HTL Pickleball Center is also in Hoan Kiem district.

Which area is best for a visitor to stay in if I want to play a lot?

West Lake (Tay Ho). Four of the nine courts on this page are there, three of them on the same road, Lac Long Quan. If you would rather stay in the Old Quarter, Taurus is your closest option and the others are a taxi ride away.

Do I need to book a court in advance?

Often yes, and evenings are the busiest. Some clubs take bookings through the Alobo app, others by Zalo or phone, usually in Vietnamese. If you would rather not sort that out yourself, we can arrange a session for you.

Are the details on this page confirmed by the courts?

Ratings, opening times and phone numbers come from Google Maps and each club's Facebook page, last checked 2 November 2026. We update a card when a club sends us its own photos and details, and Kevin has played at Taurus himself.

Want it arranged for you?

Tell us your dates and where you are staying. We will find you a court and local players, or build the games into a trip across Vietnam.
